The NICB offers the only lobbying effort directly focusing on
independent community banks in Nebraska. We provide community
banks with a voice both in our state’s legislative process
as well as in Washington. By effectively aggregating your political
and community power our presence helps shape solid public policy.
With our affiliation to the national organization, Independent
Community Banker of America (ICBA), we can provide our Nebraska
banks with national representation, resources, educational products,
seminars, and publications.
Every year a complimentary directory is given to all member as
a reference tool that lists all bank and associate members as
well as other references useful to the banking industry.
The NICB Newsletter is sent to all members and is a great way
to reach our 200+ members. The newsletter keeps you updated on
all NICB events and banking news as well as legislative issues,
educational programs, and industry related topics. Our newsletter
provides information vital to independent banking in Nebraska.
The NICB Management and Directors Conference offers educational
and informational seminars geared toward independent community
banks. The programs are of substance and address topics of today
and banking in the future. The tradeshow provides community bankers
a chance to speak directly with many vendors on products and services
to enhance their bank’s portfolio. This is also an opportunity
to network with your peers on issues facing our bankers in Nebraska.
As a member of the NICB you can attend this valuable conference
at a low cost.
NICB has over 55 associate members. Our associate members are
a group of industry related companies that understand the needs
of our community bankers. NICB associate members provide a viable
resource and asset to our association. We invite our membership
to use this resource as their first option when looking for companies
to fill a need or service for their bank. As an associate member
you will receive ongoing correspondence of activities, events
and updates on legislation affecting the association. Most importantly
you will be providing support to promote independent community
